MEET BLAKE TESCHNER
More Than 30 Years of Hands-On Construction Experience
Long before becoming a home inspector, I was learning how homes are built.
My background spans more than three decades in the building trades, with hands-on experience in framing, siding, roofing, landscaping, cabinet making, interior finishing, and many of the systems and components that come together to make a home.

From a young age, I developed an appreciation for craftsmanship and the importance of doing things the right way. Working in construction allowed me to see firsthand both the right and wrong ways projects can be completed—and how shortcuts, improper installation, deferred maintenance, and everyday wear can affect a home over time.
That experience ultimately led me to home inspection.
Becoming a home inspector gave me the opportunity to take the knowledge I've gained throughout my career and use it to help others better understand their homes, make informed decisions, and feel more confident about one of their biggest investments.
WHY HOME INSPECTION?
A Career Built Around Asking “Why?”
Working in the building trades taught me that knowing how something is done is only part of truly understanding a home.
I also wanted to understand why certain construction practices, standards, and safety requirements exist in the first place. That curiosity has become an important part of how I approach every home inspection today.
Rather than simply working through a checklist, I use my construction background and professional inspection training to evaluate the visible and accessible components of a property while helping you understand what I find along the way.
For me, the most rewarding part of this work is simple: using my
knowledge and experience to help people better understand their homes.

IT'S NOT JUST AN INSPECTION. IT'S AN EDUCATION.
Know More About the
Home You're Investing In
A home inspection shouldn't leave you with a report full of terminology you don't understand.
My goal is to make the inspection process educational, straightforward, and approachable. When I identify an important condition, I'll help explain what I observed, why it may matter, and what you should know moving forward.
Whether you're purchasing your first home, preparing to sell, or checking on a property you've owned for years, I want you to leave your inspection with a better understanding of your home.
Because when you understand your property, you're better equipped to care for it.
Know your home. Know you're safe.
